From the moment our 4-year-old daughter Isabel was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, our lives turned upside down. In a time of chaos and confusion, the support and care that we received at Children’s National Hospital helped our family focus on Isabel’s treatment and our path forward.
The love and attention Isabel’s team provided her made each new admission more bearable. With the promise of bingo prizes, scavenger hunts, movie nights and singing competitions, Isabel strutted into the hospital excited to be there. We are forever indebted to the doctors, nurses, Child Life specialists, music and art therapists, technicians, custodial team and all the staff.
After six months of treatment, Isabel is happy to be home. She is enjoying kindergarten and is looking forward to getting a new bike. We will continue to celebrate every milestone that Isabel achieves, knowing that the Children’s National team made it all possible.
