Grown Stronger

Veronica's epilepsy care taught her about empathy and the power of fun to help kids heal. She applies all she has learned to her volunteer work in a therapeutic horseback riding program.

Give Back Your Own Way

Lucie's successful surgery inspired her to help other patients. She made her own granola, or "unicorn food," to raise funds for the hospital. "Children's National did such a good job taking care of me and even made me want to become a doctor one day," she says.

Power Care Through Partnership

Parents and former patients bring their experience to our Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC) to improve the care journey for all. Austin Lee joined after receiving two kidney transplants. "Years after my transplants, I am blessed with having a family at Children's National and am still embraced," he says.
