Redskins Linebacker Launches “Kerrigan's Korner” to Support Kids in the Hospital
Washington Redskins linebacker Ryan Kerrigan on June 5 unveiled the first “Kerrigan’s Korner,” a locker that stores electronics and toys for children who have been admitted to Children’s National.
A program of Kerrigan’s Blitz for the Better Foundation, the locker gives patients and families access to technology to help them relax and keep in touch with friends and family members during hospital stays. The includes portable iPads, DVD players, and video gaming systems.
“I hope the locker will provide a welcome outlet for thousands of patients and families each month,” Kerrigan said.
