Founders Auxiliary Board Brightens the Season for Kids
On December 4, the Founders Auxiliary Board celebrated the start of its eighth annual Light Up the Season at the Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC.
Acclaimed decorator Tom Kehoe transformed the hotel’s lobby with décor inspired by eight Children’s National Hospital patients. One vignette, created in honor of Leilanie, age 10, features her love of Elvis Presley songs. Hospital staff often played his music to comfort her in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Other designs incorporate favorite animals, activities and treats to bring our patients’ holiday dreams to life.
“It is a privilege to continue this tradition,” said Marc Bromley, regional vice president and general manager at the Four Seasons. “We look forward to delighting the patients, their families and our hotel visitors throughout Light Up The Season, while furthering our support for the hospital and their impactful work.”
Light Up the Season includes Teddy Bear Teas this December to support the hospital’s world-class care and research, giving kids a reason to believe. Learn more and join an upcoming event.
We’re grateful for generous support from the event’s Orion sponsor, Mattel, and Aurora sponsors, Kristina Seppala and Jon Seaton.
