McLane Inspires Hope and Healing for Local Families

In our Corporate Partner Spotlight, we interview corporate leaders about what inspires them to serve as advocates and ambassadors for children's health. This month, we spoke with Jackie Palmer, general manager at McLane Mid-Atlantic.

Through 37 years of fundraising efforts, including the McLane Annual Charity Golf Classic, the regional office has benefited countless families at Children's National Hospital, including some of their own employees. In November 2025, they unveiled the McLane Mid-Atlantic Vitals Room at our Fredericksburg outpatient location and generously supported the Fund for Every Child, ensuring all kids have a chance to thrive.

Why does McLane commit to giving back to Children's National specifically?

Giving back to Children's National is more than a commitment for us. It is a calling. The life-changing care and incredible breakthroughs remind us daily of the power of compassion and community. This partnership is woven into the fabric of our company, reflecting our belief that together we can create hope and healing for every child in need.

What is the greatest lesson you have learned from partnering with the hospital?

Every contribution matters to advance research that saves lives and brings hope to children and their families. Knowing that our support can turn a child's dream into a reality is deeply meaningful to us.

What is the most rewarding part of working with Children's National?

Seeing the positive outcomes of young patients affirms the significance of our contributions. Through sustained engagement, we facilitate advancements that enable cutting-edge innovations in pediatric healthcare and improve the quality of life for children and their families.

Many of our teammates personally know the impact of this world-class care. While we know loss, we have witnessed far more stories of resilience and hope that remind us why this partnership matters. It is a privilege to stand alongside Children's National and help transform lives every day.
