The I Care. I Share. team member giving program is an opportunity for staff members to easily donate to help ensure that every child and family can benefit from the innovative technology, trailblazing research and world-class care at Children's National.

You may sign up to donate through the I Care. I Share. team member giving program any time.

You can give through payroll, vacation hours or make an online donation.

You are a Care Club member if you opted to have a recurring donation deducted from each paycheck. Your donation would be listed on your paycheck under "After-Tax Deductions."

Thank you to our Care Club members for your generous commitment. Your donation automatically renews annually to the fund you previously selected.

Complete this form or email the I Care. I Share. team to update your Care Club donation or receive your gift. You will be prompted to provide a home mailing address.

Vacation hours are deducted from your leave bank and converted into a tax-deductible donation to the hospital. The value of your donation will be your hourly pay rate multiplied by the number of hours you'd like to give, minus taxes. Up to 40 hours of donated vacation may be deducted per pay period; larger donations will be deducted over successive pay periods.

Date Vacation Hour Donation Requested

• On or before December 20: Payroll deduction occurs the pay period following the date of the donation.
• Between December 21 and December 31: Payroll deduction occurs the first paycheck of the following calendar year.
• After January 1 next calendar year: Payroll deduction occurs the next pay period following the date of the donation.

Note: Up to 40 donated vacation hours may be processed per pay period. Donations of more than 40 hours will be deducted over successive pay periods.

One-time payroll deductions will occur in the pay period following the donation. Care Club recurring payroll deductions will start in the pay period after you sign up.

Tax receipts are mailed by January 31 for all donations made during the previous calendar year. These include one-time gifts of cash and all check, credit card payments, payroll deductions and vacation hours.

Donations made through any payment method to any fund are eligible for incentive gifts.

You will receive your thank-you gift via mail at the home address you provided when you made your donation. If you are a Care Club member, please fill out this form to confirm your address and gift.

New gifts will ship starting in December to Care Club recurring donors and all donors who make a gift in November. Moving forward, thank-you gifts will mail the first week of the month for donations made the previous month.

Donations through the I Care. I Share. team member giving program make a difference for every child and family at Children's National, as well as our team members. Your gift goes directly to your chosen fund, such as the Fund for Every Child, Child Life, Nursing Education and Innovation, Research and Team Member Relief Fund. Your generosity supports patient programs, uncompensated care, education and training. Your donation ensures that we are there for every patient who needs us.
