Allie Slocum is the patient family library and resource coordinator for the Panda Cares Center of Hope and a proud I Care. I Share. supporter.
Allie connects families to information during their child's stay at Children's National. The library also provides a place of quiet and comfort for caregivers and siblings.
"As hospital staff, we understand the importance of what we do, and that's why it's critical to invest in our organization through I Care. I Share. We are in fact the community for this place, and to me, being a part of a community entails showing support in whatever way possible. Since we are a nonprofit, that sometimes means giving back financially. I also simply believe in investing in kids. And I Care. I Share. is one way I do that."
